My curiosity in the human mind as well as my passion for people lead me to complete a 4 year degree program in psychology at the University of Pretoria. My desire to creatively express myself has taken its form in the visual arts and has since motivated me to study photography as well as graphic design principles. With a passion for people and an eye for detail I have come into a creative field that is true to my expression of self without which my soul would not be able to continue.

The most important quality that drives my work is passion, simplicity and creativity. Planning, communication and good business etiquette are an integral and crucial component in business and I strive to deliver work that exceeds my clients' expectations. I strive to create images that are natural and my style can be described as contemporary, taking from both photojournalistic as well as classic working models. My name is Gerhard du Toit and together with my wife, Lee we create an accurate, unforgettable and enjoyable reflection of your wedding – from the preparation, all the way through till late into the evening of your Big Day. We believe in the fun aspect that a wedding day invariably brings; the importance of individual, couple, and family portraits; and most of all, to capture all the special moments.

All our photos are taken digitally with professional Canon equipment, and all digital darkroom post-processing are done personally. This ensures that your reproductions are of exceptional quality.

Every wedding is an individual affair and has its own requirements. We therefore design all our packages around your requirements and take into consideration all aspects of your Big Day.

We encourage couples who consider using our services to set up a meeting with us – with no obligation from your side. I do not use flash 80% of the time (unless you are getting married at night); I create stunning images using the latest technology - Nikon camera's combined with fast lenses with extremely low apertures. This allows me to shoot with as much ambient light as possible in most of the stages of the wedding producing softly lit images rather than harsh flash-lit images. I do at times add off camera flash and I also use reflectors to reflect natural light onto the subject. This way I get far better and intended results. Additionally, I make use of a specially designed imported wedding light from the US. This allows me to photograph couples with stunning colourful backgrounds long after the sun has set that not many other artificial lighting apparatuses will allow.
